Rocco Forte Hotels launches an experiential itinerary of art, history and Renaissance cuisine, exclusive to suite guests.

"Secret Florence" is an afternoon itinerary that winds its way through the streets of Florence by foot, devoted to experiencing the locations once frequented by the maestro Botticelli, from the Uffizi Gallery to the secret door of the Ognissanti Church Complex.

Accompanied by an art historian, the tour starts with a visit to the Uffizi Gallery to retrace the works of the masters of the medieval period through the paintings of Botticelli, Giotto and Ghirlandaio.

After taking in the secrets of Renaissance masterpieces that make the Uffizi Gallery one of the most important museum sites in the world - such as Botticelli's "La Primavera" and "The Birth of Venus" - the "Secret Florence" walk continues through the streets of the Medici city until it reaches the nearby Officine Gullo, the iconic Italian handcrafted luxury kitchen makers. The Officine Gullo is located in a deconsecrated chapel of the Church of San Salvatore di Ognissanti, concealed by a small door. To enter after opening hours, one must knock and go through the secret door, a ritual of the "Secret Florence" experience, to discover the tomb of the Florentine Maestro, guarded by the Franciscan nuns of the Church of Ognissanti. The unique space can be visited in private by guests of Hotel Savoy suites, to pay homage to Botticelli and admire his mural painting which depicts "Saint Augustine in his studio" (circa 1480), thanks to the experience created in collaboration with Francesco Gori - artistic director of Officine Gullo.

After visiting this hidden cultural hub in the heart of the city, "Secret Florence" offers guests a tasting session at the Officine Gullo, showcasing an array of traditional Tuscan dishes. The menu revisits the flavors and aromas of dishes loved by Botticelli and the other great Renaissance masters, taking diners on a journey of taste through the centuries.

Hotel Savoy marks its 25th anniversary with two new spaces, where design, art and hospitality capture the spirit of Florence.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Hotel Savoy proudly unveils two beautifully reimagined spaces that celebrate the essence of Italian conviviality and refined hospitality. The much loved Irene Restaurant reopens for the season with a fresh new design following extensive renovations of the interior and its outdoor veranda overlooking the iconic Piazza della Repubblica, while the new Bar Artemisia unveils a brand new mixology and art inspired space for its guests.

Irene Restaurant’s new design pays homage to Lady Forte, Sir Rocco Forte’s mother. Known for her gracious spirit and impeccable taste, Lady Forte’s simple yet flavourful Italian dishes – rooted in authenticity and conviviality – serve as the inspiration for the restaurant’s renewed identity. Irene is a heartfelt ode to Tuscany, where guests are invited to come together over a convivial meal in a refined and elegant setting. Guests are welcomed into an intimate and sophisticated dining area, where rich walnut panelling and black-and-white marble floors, accented with red details create a warm and refined ambience. Fabrics by renowned Italian house Loro Piana, bespoke seating by Cinelli, and classic Venetian chandeliers evoke the inviting atmosphere of a Florentine home. Soft, ambient lighting enhances the intimate mood, while the outdoor veranda offers charming views of Piazza della Repubblica, creating the perfect setting to enjoy an al fresco dining experience. Chef Fulvio Pierangelini is behind the restaurant’s culinary offering, with a menu that reinterprets traditional Tuscan cuisine with refined simplicity. Each dish is a tribute to Tuscan heritage, crafted with a few carefully chosen ingredients that highlight seasonality and flavour.

Located by Irene Restaurant, Bar Artemisia, pays homage to artist Artemisia Gentileschi, whose creative spirit inspired the space’s design.. Drawing on the aesthetic of Caravaggio, the interiors feature decorative elements that echo his iconic style, with wallpaper that seamlessly transforms into fresco-like scenes, brought to life by the dramatic lighting conceived by design studio C14 . Furniture and materials are carefully chosen by Olga Polizzi, Head of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels. The bar counter, meticulously crafted from the same rich wood as the entrance doorway, setting a refined theatrical tone for the space. Created by Salvatore Calabrese and Federico Pavan, Head of Mixology at Rocco Forte Hotels, the drinks menu offers a reinterpretation of the traditional Florentine aperitivo, showcasing inventive flair, through leather-aged and wine-infused cocktails complimented by unexpected ingredients such as truffles. Accompanying the cocktail selection is a curated range of local wines complimented by Tuscan-inspired small plates crafted by celebrated chef Fulvio Pierangelini.

Hotel Savoy and Cassetti Ponte Vecchio have partnered to create an experience that celebrates luxury jeweler, authentic Tuscan cuisine and romantic Florentine sunsets over the Arno.

A symbol of refined Florentine hospitality, Hotel Savoy has partnered with luxury jeweler Cassetti to present “Golden Hour on the Arno”, an experience that captures the essence of Florence through its artistry, elegance and rich culinary heritage. This carefully curated itinerary brings together luxury jeweler, golden sunsets and gourmet cuisine, inviting guests of Piazza della Repubblica’s Rocco Forte property to experience some of Florence’s most evocative spots.

Accompanied by an expert guide, guests will walk through the historical center, weaving through cobbled streets to reach the Ponte Vecchio. Located on Florence’s iconic bridge, Cassetti has opened the doors of its prestigious workshop, offering privileged access to its private archive. A remarkable collection is on display, featuring unique vintage pieces including brooches, rings and necklaces – each telling a chapter of Florence’s century-old goldsmithing tradition.

As the sun begins to set, guests are accompanied to the banks of the Arno, where a private boat awaits. Gliding along the river with an experienced renaiolo, guests can soak in the magic of the city at sunset as the golden glow reflects the city’s palazzi in the shimmering water. A live violinist provides a soothing soundtrack as guests enjoy a traditional Italian aperitivo far from the bustle of the city crowds.

The experience concludes at Hotel Savoy with a late dinner at Ristorante Irene, where Chef Pierangelini crafts refined local specialties paired with golden-hued wines such as Tuscany’s white Bàtar di Querciabella and Chardonnay di Monteverro.

Florence, 1st December 2025 - Hotel Savoy, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Florence have partnered with historic stationary brand Pineider to celebrate the festive season with “Wrapped in Time”. The collaboration invites guests to embrace the spirit of slow travel and rediscover time as a precious gift, encouraging moments of pause, reflection and reconnection in today’s fast moving world.

Inspired by the art of calligraphy, the hotel’s festive décor is centred on a striking lobby tree adorned with wax-sealed envelopes, featuring gold, silver and red accents alongside Pineider’s iconic stamps. The installation reflects the Florentine stationery brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and attention to detail while capturing the warm and enveloping atmosphere that defines Hotel Savoy.

The tree also reflects the shared vision of the two Florentine brands, not only in its design but also through A Wish for Florence, an immersive experience in which guests write their wishes and greetings for the city on Pineider writing paper. The letters are placed in a special Christmas box where they are stored and later sent to the Mayor of Florence.
