Fabulous

June

Pros: Staff was extremely attentive and pleasant.

Cons: None

Recommended: Yes

I can't say anything negative about the crew. I would like to point out that our waiter Numad was the best. He was extremely attentive and after one day knew my likes and dislikes! Couldn't have asked for better. I wasn't happy with the shows however, the young violin player was the best.

Trip was 2 long. Sleeping beds very uncomfortable at times. Needed more live entertainment. Overall, complaints from guests needed to be handled more professionally..

Great cruise!

May

Pros: Staff were wonderful, dining room food was delicious, buffet was quite varied and pretty good, our cabin was spacious and we loved having the veranda.

Cons: Music in the lounges was too loud early evenings. The production show was sub-par

Recommended: Yes

The ship has been refurbished and was really quite nice with just a few exceptions where we saw rust in our bathroom in our cabin and there was a foul odor at times in our bathroom. Our cabin steward, Wayan, was wonderful! The itinerary was very good. We saw many beautiful things right from our veranda! The music in the various lounges was too loud to allow for conversation in the early evenings. The specialty restaurants were really very good. I especially enjoyed Le Petit Chef for the entertainment value! The two negatives were: 1-The production show seemed inappropriate for families; the costumes were uninspired, and the dancing was minimal in quality. The one highlight were the aerialists. 2-The fishing excursion in Ketchikan was much less than advertised. The brochure and the Celebrity app were labeled "salmon fishing", and stated we could have our catch prepared to take home. However, when we arrived we were told king salmon were the only thing running, and the season wasn't open for them yet; and we were also told anything we might catch could not be prepared to take home because that service doesn't open until mid-June. We also spent a half hour standing in line and getting our fishing licenses, which could have been done before leaving the ship if we'd been informed. Further, the captain of the boat had no deck hand so things were very hectic. Altogether, this excursion was a total waste of money.

Our 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration to Alaska

May

Pros: Convenient elevators, fabulous helpful staff, wonderful food selections

Cons: None

Recommended: Yes

We had a wonderful experience on our first cruise. Everything was organized, from embarkation to debarkation. The ship was in good repair, clean, and comfortable. Our room Steward was impeccable with cleanliness. Our wait staff was superb for our dining experiences. We had fun while we enjoyed the entertainment experiences. We could not have asked for a better celebration for our 50th anniversary.

Wonderful Vacation

November

Pros: Smaller ship, less crowded and more laid-back

Cons: Simpler activities, Less for little children

Recommended: Yes

We had a very enjoyable trip with very little stress. There weren’t many sports activities such as on the big ships, but they did have a kids club and lots of planned activities for older ages and adults. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. We like the idea of the smaller ship as it was easy to find seats at any event.
