Day 2: Goldstar Rail Service from Anchorage to DenaliToday you will independently transfer between your hotel and Anchorage train station (or vice versa). While you are welcome to use a taxi service or ride-share app, please note that many hotels are located in close proximity to the train station. In particular, guests staying at the Hilton Anchorage may prefer to walk as most guests will find the journey takes approximately five minutes. Day 3: Denali Helicopter Tour with Glacier LandingWalk upon an ancient glacier tucked away deep in the Alaska Range. Your adventure begins at our private heliport. Immediately upon lift off, you will be immersed in the vastness of the Denali National Preserve. On your way to the massive Yanert Glacier, your pilot will serve as your guide through this unique glacially carved environment. Soar over the rolling tundra, keeping an eye out for local residents - caribou, moose, bear and Dall sheep. Snowcapped peaks and glaciers abound on this journey before you set down on a river of ice. Enjoy 15-20 minutes of glacial exploration with endless photo opportunities. Glacier boots are provided for glacier landing.
Day 4: Guided Self-Drive Jeep Excursion on the Denali HighwayDon't miss the Denali Highway, the #2 "Drive of a Lifetime" by National Geographic Traveler magazine! Once the gateway to Denali National Park, this 135-mile gravel road is surrounded by pristine nature & is a photographer's paradise. Snow-capped mountains, icy glaciers & panoramic vistas flank the Denali Highway. During your casually guided 100+ mile round trip excursion, there are opportunities to see Denali & other giants of the Alaska Range, weather permitting. New, 4-door Jeeps hug the dirt road, while comfortably seating four adults who can trade off driving. Each Jeep has a CB radio for communicating with the guide so stops can be made whenever desired. As driving the Denali Highway is prohibited by most rental vehicle companies, this exclusive excursion provides access to more of Alaska's spectacular scenery and wildlife & is a great alternative to crowded bus trips.

Day 6: By Air and Sea from Anchorage to Tutka BayToday you will arrive to Homer by way of a scheduled flight from Anchorage. Upon arrival to Homer Airport you will be met by a local representative who will escort you to the nearby harbor, where you will board a water taxi for the scenic 20-minute ride across the bay to reach the lodge. Keep an eye out for humpback whales, orcas, and baby sea otters as you cross. After reaching the lodge, enjoy a brief introduction and greeting from the hotel manager, learn about the surrounding area and, shortly after, settle into your cabin overlooking Grace Ridge and Tutka Fjord. When the time is right, you'll meet with your on-site guide to plan activities for the days ahead. This afternoon, consider taking part in the afternoon yoga class, or setting out on an interpretive walk along the shore to spot wildlife and sea glass, or if the tide is low, in search of other spectacular sea creatures. As day shifts to night, sample appetizers and wines in the early evening followed by a three-course meal. After dinner, perhaps you'll relax in the sauna or hot tub, or listen to a presentation on the history of Alaska and the local area. The main lodge is the perfect place to mingle with other guests, play board games or cards, or take in the impressive views from the expansive decks. Complete the night with smores cooked over a bonfire down by the beach, then tuck in for a night of rest.

Day 7: Wilderness Immersion at Tutka BayNo two days are exactly alike at Tutka Bay Lodge. In this remote and vast outdoor wonderland, there is no shortage of sublime experiences to enjoy, although local weather conditions can impact what is possible and where to visit. This in mind, and with the help of your local on-site guides, each day will be curated to your wishes and local conditions, though during your stay at Tutka Bay, you will be invited to choose two of the following four activities to participate in: deep sea fishing, bear viewing, a wildlife cruise or a culinary tour focused on Alaskan cuisine.

Day 8: Adventure and Exploration at Tutka BayNo matter what you choose to participate in, you're sure to find the quality and intimacy throughout. With an expert guide leading the way, the deep-sea fishing includes a charter boat which will set course for popular areas to catch salmon or halibut, and you can even have the chef prepare it for appetizers later that day. If bear viewing is on your bucket list, Tutka Bay Lodge's tour will have you return to Homer, then fly for one hour to reach Katmai National Park, home to one of the largest concentrations of brown bears in the world. The wildlife cruise brings you into the heart of Kachemak Bay and beyond to take in coastal views of rainforests, waterfalls, mountain vistas and marine wildlife, often including humpbacks, minke, orcas, sea otters, sea lions and countless sea birds. The Tutka Bay culinary program includes a foraging trip for wildflowers and herbs, a visit to a local oyster farm as well as a few local farms that source food for Tutka Bay followed by an immersive cooking class on the Homer Spit.
